It is recommended that the CLEAR COVER BE REMOVED FROM THE PVC BODY PRIOR TO THE GLUING PROCESS, as any excess glue that comes in contact with the clear cover will damage it.   Install the filter in the preferred vertical position with the purge outlet pointing down. However, the filter will work in the horizontal position if unable to be installed vertically.   Install on the discharge side of pump to allow use of purge valve for easy one step purge cleaning. The purging process can be done manually or automated with our Automatic Flush Valve.   Install in a location that protects the filter from impact, freeze, excessive heat, chemical contact and water hammer Manifold two or more filters for applications with flow rates higher than 100 GPM   The filter element may need to be removed and cleaned. To remove, turn off the water supply, drain water pressure, unscrew the clear cover and remove the filter screen. Wash off collected sediment with water spray.
